Lexington Hotel Lands in LaGuardia
Boutique Hotel Caters to Leisure and Business Travelers

LEVELAND, OH (July 29, 2009) – The Lexington Collection of unique Hotels, Plaza Hotels, Boutique Hotels, and Resorts Worldwide is pleased to announce that a Lexington flag is now flying in Flushing, NY, the home of LaGuardia International Airport.

The new Lexington Marco LaGuardia Hotel, formerly a Wingate by Wyndham property, is an upscale boutique hotel featuring 81 over-sized guestrooms with separate work areas, free airport shuttle service, over 2,700 square feet of meeting space, and a 24-hour business center. Guests will be able to enjoy the numerous complimentary amenities such as free local calls, wireless and high-speed Internet access, and upscale bath products.

In addition, the hotel offers two dining options – Magna Ristorante, serving award-winning continental cuisine for lunch and dinner, and The Garden Cafe, a casual dining experience offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Lexington Marco LaGuardia Hotel is perfectly situated within the largest urban center in the hip and stylish Queens neighborhood, offering easy access to a diverse range of restaurant options, ample New York shopping along Roosevelt Avenue and elsewhere, the largest Chinatown of the five boroughs, and an affordable option to nearby Manhattan.

Joining the Lexington brand was an easy decision for Raffaele Ormeggio, Executive Vice President of Operations for Excelsior Hospitality Management, managing partner for the hotel. He wanted to take this property to the next level in terms of quality and services while achieving a greater return on investment – and Lexington was the only brand that could provide the tools and resources to do just that. “In order for us to stay ahead of our competitors, we need a hotel company that will provide us with a state-of-the-art reservations system and a driven, results-oriented revenue management department. Lexington has the proven record, strength, and team that will go above and beyond in delivering on those points.”
Roger Bloss, CEO and President of Vantage Hospitality Group, the parent company of the Lexington Collection of Hotels and the 12th largest hotel company worldwide, said the Marco LaGuardia Hotel is an excellent addition to the growing brand. “The richness of services and quality the hotel offers is a welcome retreat for business and leisure travelers alike. The easy and free access to one of the busiest and most trafficked airports in the world is a definite added value. We are proud of what Raffaele has done to make this property a home-away-from-home for its guests.”
