Best Western: Media Statement update
We know many people have been upset and concerned by the incident with our guest in Monahans, Texas. We?ve seen and read all of your posts, and appreciate your concerns. We wanted to provide an update on the situation, and know that actions speak louder than words. This is what is currently happening:
– The front desk staffer has been placed on administrative leave, pending further investigation by the hotel.
– We?ve spoken with Staff Sgt. Staples on several occasions. We?ve offered an apology and refunded the money for his stay.
– We consistently communicate with our hotels about how we work with guests with special needs and disabilities, and will continue to do so. We are communicating with every one of our hotels to ensure that all of our guests ? those with disabilities or otherwise ? are treated respectfully, and the hotels always meet their needs.
– We at Best Western stand by our commitment to our customers, continue to evaluate what went wrong in this situation, and will provide additional updates on our actions and further resolution.
