Marriott International Kicks Off New U.S Soccer Partnership With All-Expense Paid Trip Giveaway

Marriott International is the Exclusive Hotel Partner of U.S. Soccer.

As the new official hotel partner of the U.S. Soccer Federation, Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) is offering fans the chance to score a trip to see the U.S. Men’s National Team take on Jamaica in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier on Sept. 11 in Columbus, Ohio. Marriott’s new partnership includes the U.S. Soccer Men’s, Women’s and Youth National Teams, as well as the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, through 2014.

The grand prize winner of the Marriott/U.S. Soccer giveaway will receive two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Downtown, two tickets to the game against Jamaica at Columbus Crew Stadium, as well as air and ground transportation, soccer gear and spending money. The ultimate stop on this trip is a VIP meet and greet with a U.S. Men’s National Team player. In addition to the all-expense paid trip, fans have the opportunity to win other great prizes at marriott.promo.eprize.com/ussoccer.

As the exclusive lodging brand of U.S. Soccer, Marriott will provide both the National Teams and U.S. Soccer fans with great hotel rates at more than 3,700 properties worldwide, in addition to other special benefits, such as group pricing opportunities.

“Marriott is a world-class brand and will provide our National Teams with impeccable service across the world,” said U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati. “We’re also looking forward to providing our fans with the same Marriott benefits that our players get, in addition to other unique travel opportunities, such as the current sweepstakes giveaway to see one of our Men’s National Team games.”

“Just as Marriott continues to grow around the world, soccer’s popularity in the U.S. has risen tremendously in the past few years,” said Joanna Todd, vice president of segment strategy for Marriott International. “Anywhere that the U.S. Soccer National Teams and their fans travel, Marriott will be there to ensure that they have the best quality stays that keep them on top of their game.”

U.S. Soccer fans can book their reservations directly through Marriott by visiting the customized travel portal, Marriott.com/us-soccer.

Founded in 1913, U.S. Soccer has helped chart the course for soccer in the USA for almost a century as the governing body of the sport. In this time, the Federation’s mission statement has been clear and simple: to make soccer, in all its forms, a preeminent sport in the United States and to continue the development of soccer at all recreational and competitive levels. To that end, the sport’s growth in the past two decades has been nothing short of remarkable as U.S. Soccer’s National Teams have continually succeeded on the world stage while also growing the game here in the United States with the support of its members.
