Diana Kamper Appointed as Director of National Accounts for Maui, Hawaii?s Grand Wailea Resort

WAILEA, HI., July 31, 2013?- Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort on Maui appoints Diana Kamper as the new director of national accounts in its group sales department. Kamper’s primarily goal is to expand the franchise and franchise association business to the resort. She will be based in Arizona serving as an “in-market” sales director.

“Kamper’s new position is crucial to meeting and exceeding the resort’s business objectives,” said Pepper Dombroski, director of sales for Grand Wailea. “Franchise and franchise associations are unique market segments with tremendous growth potential. She will have no limits in her geographic territory.”

Perfect for meetings both large and small, Grand Wailea has 22 meeting rooms and offers a total of 100,000 sq. ft. of available indoor and outdoor function space. Grand Wailea offers more options for outdoor functions than any other hotel in the Hawaiian Islands with eight outdoor venues. The resort features Haleakala Ballroom, the largest neighbor-island ballroom.

Kamper has a diverse background in the hospitality industry including hotels, resorts, destination management companies and cruise line sales experience. Prior to joining the Grand Wailea team, Kamper was on the “client” side of the business as president of Signature Sites & Incentives where her primarily responsibilities included researching venues and assisting clients with site selection and inspections, budgeting and contract negotiations. Additional sales and management experience include AlliedPRA Arizona, Residential Cruise Line, Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Resort and Hilton Suites Brentwood.

Kamper received her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from New York University in musical theatre with an emphasis in vocal performance. Her favorite activity is spending time with her two-year-old daughter.
