Regent Hotels & Resorts names Andre Scholl as group vice president of operations. Based in Taipei, he will oversee the brand’s hotel operations and owner relations. A focus for the new position is to align Regent’s operational leaders to accelerate the brand’s global growth and talent development.
The former Hilton Hotel in Longboat Key in the Gulf of Mexico will be rebranded as the Key Zota Beach Resort. The 187 room beachfront property is scheduled to open in 2016. The resort will feature an 84-room tower in addition to the 103 renovated rooms.
A US$13 million guestroom renovation is completed at the 502-room Hyatt Regency Boston.
